Protect the Border Earnable Classes

Gold first. Robux only when the locker refuses.

Earnable Classes

Not every kit in Protect the Border is a Robux wall. The store goes out of its way to say Juggernaut is the exception. This page is for everything you should try to buy with cash and gold before you open the Robux prompt. If you want the paid list, use premium classes.

How to tell if a kit is earnable

  1. Open the locker in a live session.
  2. Look for a gold or cash price on the class card.
  3. If the only button is a Robux pass, it belongs on the premium page.
  4. If both exist, earn it. Passes are for holes, not for impatience.

The BETA still shifts. A kit that is earnable in August 2026 might gain a pass later, or the reverse. Trust the locker, then the BETA changelog.

What to earn first

Earn the kit that matches how you already play:

  • You never leave the bumper → a booth rifle class
  • You like mid-range road work → an AR class
  • You already sit on a roof → wait and read Ghillie on the premium page; do not force a sniper you will not aim

HP still matters. A 160 HP earnable kit is a real body. It is not 250. Plan night roles as if the heavy slot is empty until someone buys Juggernaut.

Farming toward a locker price

Use the loop on how to earn cash. Multipliers (2X Cash, VIP) speed the grind but are not required. Four officers who finish faces will beat one AFK hope. There are no verified codes that skip a locker tag.

Do not spend the bank on extra 99 Robux rifles while a class you can earn sits 10% away. Extras are for after the kit exists. See the weapons tier list only when the locker card is already green.

Party etiquette for free kits

Say what you are earning so two people do not grind the same fashion. A crew of four earnable AR clones is a daylight monster and a night liability. Keep one person on a longer-range plan even if that plan is “I bought SVD later.”

When earning is the wrong advice

If the locker shows no gold price and the pass text says the class cannot be earned, stop grinding. That sentence currently belongs to Juggernaut. Pouring ten hours into a door that does not exist is how officers quit the BETA. Buy the pass, pick another kit, or play the starter body and own the booth fundamentals.

After you unlock one

Equip it, run a day shift, then a night. If you cannot aim the new rifle, the unlock was cosmetic. Re-read controls and loadouts before you chase a second kit.

A useful mid-week habit is to screenshot the locker price and the cash number after each session. If the price did not move and your gold did, you are on the right door. If both numbers sit still, you are waving cars or wiping before the bank lands. That is a booth problem, not a class problem.

Do not treat an earnable kit as a second identity you never equip. Officers grind a card, then stay on the starter body because the new rifle “feels weird.” Wear the kit for two full day-plus-night cycles. If you still cannot aim it, sell the idea, not the hours. The BETA will add more cards. Your time will not.

When you can point at one earnable card and one reason, close the locker. The next page is loadouts if the kit is yours, or premium classes if the locker just told you no.

Shift FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers officers ask after every shift.

Which class can I not earn?

Juggernaut. The pass text says cash and gold cannot unlock it.

Should I buy 2X Cash to earn classes faster?

Only after one unpaid shift. The multiplier is optional. Faces still pay.

Can I earn Ghillie or SAS with gold?

Check the locker. If you see a gold price, earn it. If you only see Robux, treat it as premium.

What if the locker price changes after a patch?

Trust the live locker and the BETA changelog over this paragraph.
