Protect the Border How to Earn Cash and Gold

The booth pays for finished work. Multipliers only multiply what you already did.

How to Earn Cash

Protect the Border runs two currencies: cash and gold. Both come from the shift. Neither currently comes from codes. This is the how-to-get page for money. If you still fail faces, money advice will sound like magic. Fix the loop on Getting Started first.

What actually pays

  • Finished inspections with a correct ID and a sorted trunk
  • Lawful processing: cuffs, cells, tickets
  • Survived nights, especially in Endless Mode
  • Optional bribes, which are burst cash with a discipline cost

The game does not publish a public spreadsheet. Play as if accuracy pays more than speed. A waved forgery is a refund you give the raid.

A farm loop that does not rot your aim

  1. Window officer runs ID checks without skipping the second look.
  2. Trunk officer runs searches with a left-to-right pass.
  3. Processor finishes the stop using suspect processing.
  4. Near sunset, convert to night roles so the bank survives.
  5. After the raid, buy one planned thing, not the whole store.

That loop scales to four officers. Solo players do all five jobs worse. That is fine. Just do not compare your gold to a coordinated clip.

Bribes as income

Bribes are real. They are also how officers stop opening trunks. If you use them, cap them: small cargo only, never after a face fail, never as the sky turns. A party that takes every envelope will look rich at dusk and poor after the wipe.

Multipliers

Two passes advertise double cash and gold:

  • 2X Cash (199 Robux) — double cash and gold every match
  • VIP (399 Robux) — double cash and gold plus a VIP tag

Do not stack your hopes on owning both until you read gamepass value. If you only buy one economy pass, 2X Cash is the cheaper multiplier. VIP is the same multiplier with a label. Neither replaces a clean booth.

Infinite Ammo does not earn money. It spends less time in the shop during a raid. That can indirectly save a run, which saves the bank. Treat it as insurance, not income.

What to buy with the bank

Spend cash and gold on classes you can earn. The store is clear that Juggernaut cannot be earned — the pass is the only door. Other kits can be worked toward; see earnable classes and premium classes. Extra rifles (FAMAS, TAR 21, SVD, PKM) sit on top of a loadout. Buy the rifle that matches your night role, not the thumbnail you liked.

Myths

  • “Codes will drop tomorrow” — maybe, but they are not here. Stay on the Codes Hub.
  • “A script farms gold safely” — we have no verified title-specific script. Read Scripts Hub.
  • “More cars always means more money” — not if you stamp forgeries.
  • “VIP is required to enjoy the BETA” — it is not. Four free officers with roles will out-earn a sloppy VIP.

Tracking progress

After each session, note cash, gold, and whether you survived the night. If gold rose but you wiped, you got lucky. If gold rose and the booth stood, you learned the game. That second graph is the one that still works when The Evil Mafia adds another class pass tomorrow.

When you can explain the difference between cash, gold, 2X Cash, and a bribe without opening the shop, you are done here. Put the next purchase on loadouts so the money turns into a night that lasts.

Shift FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers officers ask after every shift.

Is gold different from cash?

Yes. Both drop from shift work. Gold is the slower locker currency. Spend it on planned classes, not impulse rifles.

Do codes give cash?

No verified codes exist as of August 2026. Do not use generator sites.

Is VIP better than 2X Cash?

Both advertise double cash and gold. 2X Cash is cheaper. VIP adds a tag. You do not need both on day one.

Can I earn Juggernaut with gold?

No. The pass text says it is the only way into that class.
